  1. At the bottom of the "Home" page there is a link to "membership information."  Click this link and the membership categories will be explained.  At the bottom of this page there is a link to "membership application."  Click this link and you will see a membership application form.  Print this form, fill it out, and fax it to the number indicated.  The number is in Amsterdam, so you need the Netherlands country code of 31 from outside the Netherlands.

  2. Yes.  The new Rule clearly states that you must be a member of ADC-ICTY to be considered for assignment.  If you are currently on the Rule 45 list and have not applied for membership in the Association you should do so.  You must submit the membership application and all documents required of all new members.

  3. On the Home page there is a bank account number and swift code number.  You may transfer funds to that account.  Or, you may send certified funds to the address of the Association shown on the Home Page.   The name of the account is ADC-ICTY.

  4. Dues are:  € 360 for Full-Active; € 240 for Full-Inactive and € 120 for Aspirant members.  Membership is on an annual basis, beginning the month following your membership acceptance.  You may see you dues status by accessing your personal records.

  5. This is difficult to answer.  There is not a line of detainees waiting for someone to agree to represent them.  The supply exceeds the demand when it comes to lawyers.  On the other hand, with your specific information available to a detainee or his or her lead counsel it may be that you are the exact lawyer they are seeking.  There is never a guarantee that you will get an assignment.
